Fobazo.com spoke with Christian Poulsen Thursday about the important qualification match against Sweden in Parken Saturday. According to Christian the preparation time is used on a mixture of training, relaxation, massage, playing cards (The stakes are Monopoly money!) And then more training. Poulsen:
- This afternoon, we had a closed training session, where we went through the tactical aspects. Tomorrow we have training again. We look forward to the match. Regrettably Grønkjær (Jesper, ed.) had to leave yesterday because on an old injury, but otherwise all players are in the clear.
Fobazo have made a longer video interview with Christian where he candidly talks about the episode 2 years ago, when he dealt a stroke to Swedish International Markus Rosenberg, and was expelled, after which a series of other dramatic events took off. About Swedes and the mood up to the match, Christian shortly stated:
- The Swedes are a busy creating a slightly heated atmosphere surrounding the match, I do not know if it is because they feel a level of pressure. But we will show it on the pitch that Denmark deserves to be a part of the World Cup!
