Poulsen nominated for player of the year

This weekend the Association named the five candidates for the title of 'Player of the Year' and the selection is actually the same as the "Danish Football Award 2009" earlier this year, just with Christian Poulsen also among the nominees. Apart from Christian Poulsen the nominees are Jakob Poulsen from Danish Superliga club AGF, already titled 'Danish Profile of the Year' nominated along with "Talent of the Year ' Simon Kjaer from Palermo and goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen, and finally The winner of the of aforementioned Danish Football Awar; Nicklas Bendtner, who currently is injured. It is the colleagues in the Player Association, which votes on the outcome.

The winner will be named at The SPORT 2009 event hosted by National Danish Television (DR) taking place on 9 January.

Fobazo spoke with Christian, who said:

"It's always an honor to be nominated, and it's especially exciting when it is our "colleagues" who'll judge our efforts. Now we must see who wins, the line-up is very strong and it is very open who wins the title."
